Use of our PMI (Positive Metal Identification) and Die-stamping equipment enables our stainless steel nipples to have complete and accurate traceability. Stainless steel nipples are used in a myriad of applications including: beverage, pharmaceutical, food processing, power plants, pulp mills, petro-chemical and chemical. NOTE: The information contained herein are theoretical numbers to be used for comparison only. The numbers provided are based on Barlow's formula. Barlow's formula is merely a tool for bursting pressure estimation, under ideal conditions at 72 degrees fahrenheit. These calculations include additional safety factors and are based on nominal engagement. Bursting pressures shown are calculated on the basis of minimum tensile strength of 65520 PSI. The user should also consider additional sources of stress other than those caused by pressure in their design.
