Neodymium magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet currently made. They are amazingly powerful for their size and have innumerable uses. These neodymium magnets are 1/4 inch in diameter and 3/8" long. They are composed of grade 42 NdFeB material and are plated in nickel-copper-nickel for a shiny corrosion resistant finish.
A special feature of this magnet is that it is magnetized through the diameter instead of the length, so the N and S poles are on the curve surfaces instead of the flat surfaces. The tolerances of all the dimensions are +/-0.01mm with coating.
