Alloy Steel 4140 is a high strength steel with Chromium and Molybdenum. It is specified when strong, lightweight structural integrity is required and is frequently used in the aircraft industry, for racecars, motorcycles, bicycles, and for industrial equipment. This high-strength steel is easily fabricated and welded. It can be subjected to mild hardening and nitriding for additional wear and abrasion resistance. Tubing is seamless.
