Captair Flex™ re-circulating fume hoods are a safety device used to protect users when handling chemicals that pose an inhalation risk. These ductless fume hoods are self-contained and completely mobile. Ductless hoods efficiently re-circulate air within the room and release highly purified air back into the room free of any toxic hazardous vapors or odors (in compliance with NFX 15 211:2009 and ASHRAE 110:1995 standards) With the new modular column design, the units are now adaptable to the laboratory safety needs of any field (liquid handling or liquid with powder handlings). With the stackable design— (see exploded image) there is now the option to add a secondary safety level of filtration for handling of large-scale quantities. The new BE+ filter has the ability to retain organics, inorganics, solvents and acids all in one filter, allowing you convenient single filter type for the majority chemical handlings. For updated safety the hoods come standard with an air velocity meter allowing you to verify the face velocity of the moving air in the unit, a sampling port for manual testing for saturation of filters, and a 60 hour timer to remind the operator to test the filters to keep accurate and useful operation information about the hood and filters.
